Shelley Nitschke talks about the upcoming WBBL

The Scorchers continued to fine-tune their preparation for the rebel Women’s Big Bash League with a practice match against the Sydney Thunder at Blacktown International Sports Park earlier today.

Despite a narrow three-run loss, there were plenty of positives for coach Shelley Nitschke to take out ahead of Sunday’s season opener against the Brisbane Heat.

English import Amy Jones (26*) spent valuable time in the middle and looked at ease, while five separate wicket-takers with the ball displayed the depth of the Scorchers’ bowling unit ahead of WBBL|06.

Final Score;

Sydney Thunder 5-130 (20) def. Perth Scorchers 8-127 (20).
