Shield Match Closed to Public

The Western Australian Cricket Association wishes to advise that the upcoming Marsh Sheffield Shield match between Western Australia and New South Wales (scheduled for 17-20 March) will proceed as planned at the WACA Ground, however spectators will not be admitted into the venue.

This decision have been made in the context of ongoing advice from State and Federal Health departments, medical staff and in the best interests of the broader community in relation to the current Coronavirus health concerns.

Accredited media are welcome to attend but reasonable parameters will be in place to protect the individual health and hygiene of players.

The match will be live-streamed on cricket.com.au and broadcast on SportFM 91.3 for as per usual.

This weekend’s Premier and local community cricket will proceed with guidelines in place to support higher levels of sanitisation and overall hygiene. Guidelines can be found at waca.com.au.
