Shpageeza 2020: Sadiq stars in Tigers' impressive win
Speen Ghar Tigers registered a comprehensive 49-run win over Amo Sharks thanks to their captain Karim Sadiq's excellent spell in the second match of the Shpageeza T20 Cricket League.
At the Kabul International Cricket Stadium, Tigers opted to bat and posted 150 for six in their 20 overs. Opener Zubaid Akbari (51: 37b, 5x4, 2x6) was the top-scorer for Tigers. Akbari added 58 for the second wicket with Nasir Khan (38: 34b, 1x4, 2x6). Towards the end of the innings Waheedulah Shafaq (22 n.o.) played a smart cameo to push the scoring.
For Sharks the best bowler was Abdul Wasi with figures of two for 30.
The chase for Sharks was completely derailed by Sadiq's excellent spell of five for 15. Only Darwish Rasooli (21) resisted for Sharks. Wasi once again shone with the bat as he remained unbeaten on 30 off 28 balls with three boundaries and a six. But there was no simply no fight from Sharks as Sadiq held sway with his timely spell. Sharks were finally bowled out for 101.
