Sohail Khan Ruled Out Of Bangladesh ODIs
Pakistan pacer Sohail Khan has been ruled out of the side’s One-Day Internationals against Bangladesh due to a back injury he sustained during practice.
Khan who made a comeback to the Pakistan team after a four-year gap in the recently concluded World Cup suffered the injury while bowling in the nets on the final day of practice.
Khan is also likely to miss out on the twenty20 and Tests that follow the ODIs on the Bangladesh tour.
Revealing the development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have announced Junaid Khan as Sohail’s replacement for the three ODIs.
"Sohail suffered a back injury at the training camp, precisely reporting pain during the practice match, and post MRI scan he was advised recuperation for 2-3 weeks,” said the PCB statement.
Junaid who missed the World Cup due to knee injury was already part of the Tests and twenty20 squad for the Bangladesh series.
Pakistan play three ODIs, a Twenty20 International and two Tests during their tour of Bangladesh that kicks-off on 17th April.
