Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla today against South Africa in the 2nd ODI.

Sri Lanka scored a below par 244-8 in their allotted overs due to the bowling of Andile Phehlukwayo 3-45 and Lungi Ngidi 3-50. Niroshan Dickwella 69 and Angelo Mathews 79 were the mainstay of the Sri Lankan lie up.

In reply, a steady but aggressive 87 from Quinton de Kock, supported by Faf du Plessis 49 and  Hashim Amla 43 an latterly, JP Duminy and Willem Mulder saw South Africa across the line.
