South Africa Women beat Sri Lanka Women by seven wickets to level their three-match Twenty20 International series at 1-1 with one game remaining.

Dane van Niekerk took four for 17 as Sri Lanka crashed to 76 all out before hitting 22 as South Africa eased to victory.

van Niekerk dismissed the in-form Chamari Atapattu for 16 before also removing Hasini Perera (7), Nilakshi Silva (8) and Inoka Ranaweera (1).

Her career-best figures condemned Sri Lanka to their second lowest T20I score in their history.

Chloe Tryon also took two wickets and Shabnim Ismail one as Sri Lanka's innings last just 14 overs and Yasoda Mendis, with 21, and Eshani Kaushalya, with 10, were the only other players to reach double figures.

In reply, South Africa batted steadily, knocking off the runs in 17.3 overs thanks largely to van Niekerk's 22 in 43 balls and Lizelle Lee's 18 in 24.

Maduri Samuddika took two for 18 for Sri Lanka and Trisha Chetty was run out for six, leaving Mignon du Preez and Marizanne Kapp to finish off the game, unbeaten on eight and nine respectively.
