South Africa Women 143-4 (Tryon 45no) beat
Scotland Women 142 (Anderson 50) by six wickets
7th match, Group B, ICC Women's World Cup Qualifier

Shabnim Ismail, Ayabonga Khaka and Dane van Niekerk shared seven wickets between them as South Africa Women dismissed Scotland Women for 142 and chased down the target in 33.1 overs with six wickets in hand in the Group B clash of ICC Women's World Cup Qualifier in Colombo.

After Khaka (2-9) struck early to remove Sarah Bryce (0), her opening partner, Olivia Rae (16) also edged a Ismail (3-30) delivery to the keeper.

Kathryn Bryce (13), Rachel Scholes (10), Fiona Urquhart (10) and Elizabeth Priddle (19) all got starts but only Kari Anderson (50) went on to reach a half-century as Scotland could manage only 142 in the 50 overs before they were dismissed off the final delivery.

In response, Lizelle Lee (7) and Mignon du Preez (9) had rare failures but Laura Wolvaardt (35) and Trisha Chetty (35 not out) played solid knocks to lay a platform during the chase.

Even though Scotland managed to remove Wolvaardt and Marizanne Kapp (7), Chloe Tryon (45 not out) joined Chetty and ensured they completed the chase in the 34th over with ease.

The win has taken them to the top of Group B while Khaka was named player of the match.
