Chamari Athapaththu will be leading the Sri Lankan Women for both T20I's as well as the ODI's while Heather Knight will captain the English side for the tour.

English all rounder Freya Kemp has made a comeback into the T20I side. She performed very well in The Hundred Women's and is now reaping it's fruits in terms of selection. Tammy Beaumont on the other hand has been ignored from the T20I squad despite her magnificent performance in The Hundred Women's. She has been drafted for the ODI's though.

Sophie Ecclestone and Sophia Dunkley will miss out on the series. Nat Sciver-Brunt will sit out for the T20I series but will return for the ODI challenge. Danielle Wyatt will miss out on the ODI leg of the tour.

The Head Coach Jon Lewis was very confident of the squad and stated, "We have named a squad with a good blend of youth and experience and see this as an important series to test the depth of playing pool.

We have some exciting, new young players coming in who we are looking forward to working with".

As for the Sri Lankan Women, Harshitha Samarawickrama has been in phenomenal touch lately and she will play an important role for her team with the bat.
