England pacer Stuart Broad is likely to miss the third Test against India in Mohali after struggling to recover from a foot injury.
The 30-year-old was instrumental in dismissing India for 204 in their second innings in Visakhapatnam with his four-wicket haul and had bowled in the game despite strained tendon in his right foot.
Broad missed the first training session in Mohali ahead of the game and remained at the team hotel with his moon boot to help his recovery.
In case Broad fails to make the cut, England are likely to recall Chris Woakes, who was rested for the second Test with a niggle.
Meanwhile, England coach Trevor Bayliss has already hinted that Jos Buttler will make his first appearance for England in the longer format after almost a year replacing the out of form Ben Duckett.
The position of left arm spinner Zafar Ansari will also come into consideration after he had a disappointing outing in the second game.
After losing the second Test to India in Visakhapatnam by massive 246 runs, England will look to level the series when they take the field in Mohali on Saturday.
