England and Nottinghamshire fast bowler Stuart Broad is set to undergo another set of scans on his injured left ankle after being ruled out of the county championship match against Yorkshire on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old took part in the NatWest Twenty20 Blast finals day for Nottinghamshire but was able to bowl only two overs as Northamptonshire secured a win in the semi-final.
Broad is currently not a part of England’s limited-overs international squads, but he was withdrawn from the Nottinghamshire squad for the county championship encounter against Yorkshire on the advice of the England and Wales Cricket Board.
Earlier, Broad had an initial set of scans on his ankle and the results of the upcoming investigations, which are expected to be available by the end of this week, will reveal the full extent of the injury.
Recently, Broad signed a deal with the Big Bash League franchise Hobart Hurricanes to take part in the upcoming season of Australia’s premier T20 tournament.
