West Indies have dropped the left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn for the second Test against England which kicks off on Tuesday at the Grenada National Stadium.

Benn, 33, had a poor outing in the first Test as he went wicketless in the first innings and managed just two wickets from the 26 overs in the second innings which prompted the selectors to drop him.

Right-arm fast bowler Shannon Gabriel has been drafted in the squad as a replacement for Benn.

Devendra Bishoo, who played his last Test against Australia in April 2012, remains the lone spinner in the 14-member squad named for the second Test.

The first Test at Sir Vivian Richards stadium ended in a draw with a West Indies fightback on the fifth day, led by an unbeaten century from Jason Holder.

West Indies squad for second Test against England: Denesh Ramdin (captain), Kraigg Brathwaite (vc), Shannon Gabriel, Devendra Bishoo, Jermaine Blackwood, Carlos Brathwaite, Darren Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Jason Holder, Shai Hope, Kemar Roach, Marlon Samuels, Devon Smith, Jerome Taylor.
