Sumbul Rasheed Aims to Make Similar Impact to that of Idol Kapil Dev
On 18th September 2022, at Gargi College Ground, New Delhi, 17 year old fast bowler Sumbul Rasheed met her idol Kapil Dev.

Sumbul says that today the popularity of cricket is at its peak in her country but she heard and read that there was a time when there was a famine of fast bowlers in India. At that time, the cricket lovers caught in the captivity of spinners used to think that fast bowlers could never be born in India. If anyone breaks this myth of the people, then it is none other than Kapil Dev.
No doubt Kapil Dev laid such a foundation for fast bowling that today every talented cricketer wants to be an all-rounder like of Kapil dev. Sumbul was very fortunate that because of Women Cricket Talent Hunt by ABP News she had the opportunity to meet Kapil Dev sir. She went on to say she will carry the words from Kapil Dev with her and although the target is big she will achieve it.
Sumbul aims that one day she will establish herself as the fasest bowler in India women's cricket, whilst also having some impact batting and fielding. Looking at the way this 17-year-old spirited girl Sumbul Rasheed is bowling Speed 120 kmph, it is to be expected that the day is not far when this girl will be a part of Team India.
The coach of Sumbul, Tarique Zafar & Basic Coach Mohammad Afzal says that with fast bowling there is a glimpse of such a cricketer who can win the match by herself. Sumbul Rasheed wants to make a place in the Indian women's cricket team like Kapil Dev.
