Suresh Raina ruled out of second ODI against New Zealand
Raina was earlier ruled out of the first ODI due to the viral illness and was unable to bat in both the innings of the Ranji Trophy game for Uttar Pradesh against Madhya Pradesh.
The left-hander last played an ODI for India in October 2015 and was recalled for the New Zealand series but the illness has prevented his comeback.
The Indian team management has not yet named a replacement for Raina, who was dropped from the ODI squad for the tour of Australia last year.
India secured a six-wicket win in the first ODI against New Zealand and have a 1-0 lead in the five-match series, which continues with the second game on 20th October.
