Middlesex won the toss and decided to bat, at Lord's, in their London Derby One Day Cup tie with Surrey today.

Middlesex 234 ( Paul Stirling 67, Tom Helm 30; Tom Curran 4-33)

Surrey 238-5 (Ben Foakes 86, Ollie Pope 57*; Steve Finn 2-53)

Result - Surrey won by 5 wickets

Middlesex scored a disappointing 234 in their innings, in front of a good home crowd at Lord’s - with only Paul Stirling (67) showing any real resilience with the bat. Tom Curran (4-33) was the pick of the Surrey bowlers.

In reply, Surrey batsmen Ben Foakes (86) and Ollie Pope (57*) had a partnership of 98 for the fifth wicket and secured a 5 wicket win for the South London side.
