Sussex batting too strong for Somerset in Royal London One Day Cup today
Sussex won the toss and decided to bat first, at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton. It was the correct decision. Sussex batted superbly with Luke Wright 105, David Wiese 58* and Michael Burgess 56, helping themselves and Sussex to 341-7.
Sussex 341-7: (Luke Wright 105, David Wiese 58*, Michael Burgess 56)
Somerset 266: ( James Hildreth 87, Steve Davies 56, Matt Renshaw 55)
Result: Sussex won by 75 runs
Luke Wright scored his 10th century in non-T20 limited-overs cricket, including 3x6s and 10x4s.
It was never going to be an easy total to chase down for Somerset, even with James Hildreth (87) in superb form and it proved too much for Somerset batsmen who were bowled out for 266.
Ishant Sharma was the pick of the Sussex bowlers with 3-47.
