Durham 287 & 204 (Philander 4-39) by an innings and 177 runs
County Championship Day Two, Hove, day four

Vernon Philander and Jofra Archer shared seven wickets between them as Sussex bowled out Durham for 204 runs in the final innings to complete a victory by an innings and 177 runs on the final day of the County Championship Division Two clash in Hove.

As a result, Sussex have gained 24 points from the win and are positioned sixth in the table while Durham with three points languish at the bottom.

Durham resumed their second innings at 97 for four, still trailing Sussex by 284 runs. Paul Collingwood (31) failed to add to his overnight score and was trapped LBW by David Wiese (1-15).

This is when Archer (3-49) struck twice in quick succession to reduce Durham to 126 for seven. Even though, Ryan Pringle (38 not out) and James Weighell (58) showed some resistance with a 69 run stand but Philander (4-39) returned back to pick the final two wickets and bowl out Durham for 204.
