Sussex have confirmed that Luke Wells will continue to captain the club for the final round of County Championship Division Two encounter against Nottinghamshire to be played in Hove.
Wells, who captained the side for the first time in the previous game against Durham scored 122 and 58 in the two innings to help Sussex to a 132-run victory at Chester-le-Street in the absence of regular skipper Ben Brown, who is suffering from a sore back.
With Brown unavailable for the final encounter in Hove, Michael Burgess will continue his role as a wicket-keeper batsman but head coach Mark Davis has rested Danny Briggs, Ollie Robinson and Stiaan van Zyl, who will be replaced by Chris Nash, Delray Rawlins, Abi Sakande and Will Beer.
Davis wants the club to carry forward the momentum, they attained against Durham and is hoping to end the season on a high.
"Coming off an outstanding win against Durham last week, we are motivated to end the season well.
"A number of young players will be given more opportunity and a chance to showcase their ability against a strong Nottinghamshire team.
"A very exciting week lies ahead for all involved!"
