Batting first, Sydney Sixers scored a competitive 177-7 with James Vince 75 and Jordan Silk 41 the mainstays of their batting - Josh Lalor 5-26 bowled brilliantly and was the pick of the Brisbane Heat bowlers.
In reply, Brisbane Heat were never in the run chase and they were bowled out for just 98 -Ben Cutting 28 top scored and Tom Curran 3-15 and Sean Abbott 3-18 were the pick of the bowlers for the Sixers.
