Sydney Sixers hit back against Adelaide Strikers at Hurstville Oval on Sunday in WBBL
The Sydney Sixers came back with a vengeance at Hurstville Oval on Sunday after a loss the day prior, defeating the Adelaide Strikers by 13 runs in both teams' final match of the regular season.
The Sixers went into Sunday's match after five straight losses and without captain Ellyse Perry, who is sidelined due to a shoulder injury.
The Strikers won the toss, with captain Suzie Bates electing to bowl first.
Sydney was aggressive from ball one, with stand-in captain Alyssa Healy finding the boundary seven times and clearing it a further seven times.
In the third over, Megan Schutt (1/35) removed Erin Burns for two but Healy was in fine form, making 84 from 38 balls, before being bowled by Bates.
The Sixers reached 7/177, with Tahlia McGrath and Sarah Coyte both taking two wickets.
Sophie Devine led the pack in reply with 60 from 38 balls, supported by Bridget Patterson who compiled a run-a-ball 30.
