Sydney Sixers too classy for Perth Scorchers in WBBL
A Player of the Match performance from skipper Ellyse Perry has helped the Sydney Sixers to a solid 32 run victory over the Perth Scorchers at Lilac Hill in Perth.
The win guarantees the Sixers a spot in the four-team finals with two regular season games remaining next Sunday and Monday.
The first innings saw the Sixers amass a total of 2-183 off their 20 overs, led by Perry who carried her bat through an innings of 80 off 54 balls.
Perry was ably supported by Alyssa Healy (44 off 30) and Ash Gardner (42 off 35).
In the second stanza, Perry was again a major contributor, taking 2-23 with the ball and snaring one of the visiting team's three run outs.
Lauren Cheatle (2-19) and Sarah Aley (2-12) both grabbed a brace, while Erin Burns took a spectacular catch and threw out Emma King from the deep.
