Sydney Sixers WBBL win by 74 runs at Hurstville Oval as Healy stars again

The Sydney Sixers have returned to the top of the WBBL ladder with a comprehensive 74 run win over the Adelaide Strikers at Hurstville Oval.

The home side began the match in style, belting 1-206 from the visiting attack including a record equalling Sixers WBBL partnership of 150 between Alyssa Healy (112 n.o.) and Ellyse Perry (48). Fellow international Ash Gardner supported the pair with 39 off just 15 balls.

Healy's knock was the second highest in WBBL history and complimented her unbeaten 70 yesterday.

In the second innings, left arm speedster Lauren Cheatle finished as the pick of the bowlers, netting figures of 3 for 22 off her four overs to go with her 2/6 just 24hrs earlier against the Renegades.

Prodigious 15-year-old Hayley Silver-Holmes (2/21) grabbed a brace for herself - the first wickets of what is shaping as a promising career.

In the end the Strikers were dismissed for 132 in 19.1 overs.
