On resumption, things did not get any better for the Sixers and they were bowled out for just 76 with Justin Avendano 28 top scoring and Daniel Sams 3-14 and Chris Morris 2-12 doing the damage with the ball for Sydney Thunder.

In reply, with another rain disruption, Sydney Thunder won by 4 runs (DLS Method) (D/L), scoring 28-2 in 5.3 overs – with Alex Hales out first ball and the Thunder 1-1, Usman Khawaja scored 13 and Callum Ferguson 8* to get them over the line.
