talkSPORT Breakfast just got BIGGER as Flintoff joins the team

New talkSPORT Breakfast Show host Laura Woods announced the station’s latest signing this morning as the Breakfast Show got even bigger.

Last week Woods launched talkSPORT Breakfast with Laura Woods, broadcasting every Monday to Wednesday, where she is joined by Ally McCoist. The legendary Alan Brazil remains in the chair on Thursdays and Fridays in the lead up to the weekend.

This morning, Laura announced on air that Ashes legend and global celebrity Freddie Flintoff is joining the team as breakfast just got even bigger. Freddie will be on air every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with Laura and Ally from 6am to 10am to put a smile on the faces of sports fans.

The popular Top Gear presenter brings with him a legion of fans and a growing wealth of broadcasting experience, having been a central part of the BAFTA award-winning sports quiz A League of their Own.

The new team will be joined by superstar guests from the worlds of sport and entertainment for more classic talkSPORT fun at breakfast.

Freddie said: “I’ve been a talkSPORT listener for years and the team are fantastic. I’m really looking forward to joining the breakfast line-up with the brilliant Laura Woods and Ally McCoist Monday to Wednesday. Our message to the listeners is: stay in, stay safe and listen to talkSPORT.”

Head of talkSPORT Lee Clayton said: “With the world shutting down around us due to coronavirus, people need an escape and we will be here for you. At talkSPORT it is our mission to keep sports fans smiling and whilst there may be no live sport, there's plenty to talk about. Freddie is a world class sportsman who has become a world class broadcaster. We are delighted to have him in our star line-up. talkSPORT Breakfast just got bigger!”
