Tasmania beat Victoria by 65 runs in the One Day Cup
Tasmania won the toss and decided to bat at the Riverway Stadium, Townsville earlier today against Victoria in the One Day Cup.
Tasmania 321 - 8 (Matthew Wade 117, Ben McDermott 56; Jackson Coleman 2-47, Will Sutherland 2-51, Tom O'Connell 2-60)
Victoria 256 all out (Marcus Harris 69; Tom Rogers 4-53, Clive Rose 4-42)
Result - Tasmania won by 65 runs
Batting first, Tasmania scored 321 - 8 with Matthew Wade 117 and Ben McDermott 56 putting on 170 for the first wicket, which gave them a great platform to push on to a total of over 300+. Jackson Coleman 2-47, Will Sutherland 2-51 and Tom O'Connell 2-60 all took 2 wickets apiece for Victoria.
In reply, the Victoria batsmen were always behind the run chase once the openers had departed – opener Marcus Harris 69 was the pick of the batsmen for Victoria and Tom Rogers 4-53 and Clive Rose 4-42, the pick of the bowlers for Tasmania.
South Australia take on New South Wales at the W.A.C.A. Ground, Perth tomorrow.
