The Ashes: 3rd Test Day 3 Australia retain the Ashes to win by an innings and 14 runs
Australia win the the 3rd Test match by an innings and 14 runs! They retain the Ashes and take an unassailable lead of 3-0 in the series.
England did start the day having a mountain to climb to get anything out of this test match - they were 51 runs behind ,with six wickets in hand and both Joe Root and Ben Stokes were at the crease.
However, Australia took just 79 minutes, on the morning of day 3, to blow England away in this Test match and the series. Starc drew first blood removing Stokes and the collapse began.
What an incredible debut this has been for Scott Boland - the local boy came in and took four wickets in three overs, in his second spell, to finish off with a six-wicket haul (6-7) and make a mockery of the English batting order, in the 2nd Innings. He finished with match figures of 7-55.
