This is going to be a daily blog in which I share my adventures travelling around St Lucia, with help from the tourist board, CPL and Coco Palms Hotel to bring you the most entertaining sights and moments I can.

Taxi & Tours St Lucia

To begin with, I hadn’t flown before so this was a huge step with an even longer flight, but once I landed in St Lucia it was immediately worth it. As you leave the plane doors the heat hits you and you’re ready to set off.

Sofia, a freelancer, and I were then taken to our hotel by Taxi & Tours which was one of the better car experiences I’ve ever had.

It wasn’t just the lovely scenery, but also the fact our driver David took the time to show us them and even paused for us to try some of St Lucia’s food & drink.

After arriving at Coco Palms I was shown to my room, accompanied by a refreshing glass of fruit punch, and was ready to set things up before being whisked away to see St Lucia Zouks take on St Kitts & Nevis Patriots.

The St Lucia Tourist Board made sure we got there, and we were greeted by Caroline Smith from the CPL and shown around before being taken to the press box. The atmosphere was incredible, and like nothing I’d experienced at a sports game before.

People were still arriving by the dozens, there were groups enjoying it outside, everyone with a big smile on there face and it was all topped off by Darren Sammy scoring a half-century to guide the Zouks to a much-needed victory.

I would recommend adding 'getting out to the Caribbean and enjoying the experience that is the CPL' to your bucket list as it's something you probably won't experience elsewhere.

We made some plans to meet up with the Zouks on a boat ride the following day, so look out on Cricket World and Unibet in the coming weeks for some upcoming video content!

Our thanks to the team at the St Lucia Tourist Board for their assistance with this trip.
