Adelaide Strikers scored a competitive 176-8 in their 20 overs, with Jonathan Wells (30), Colin Ingram (28) and Alex Carey (24) the main run getters and Josh Lalor (3-25) and Jack Prestwidge (2-38), the main wicket takers for Brisbane Heat.
In reply, Brisbane Heat were in some trouble at 18-3 with Peter Siddle removing Ben Cutting for one and, danger man, Chris Lynn for nought. However, Brendon McCullum (51) and Matt Renshaw (90*) had a blistering 4th wicket partnership of 122, to take the Heat to a brilliant 6 wicket win over the Strikers.
