Said the match will be a great chance for his team to put a dent in England’s excellent record at the venue.
Said Steve Smith, David Warner, Cameron Bancroft and the whole squad have been planning on how to cope with the abuse they are likely to receive from the Edgbaston crowd.
Said he believes his players can cope with the expected hostile environment.
Said he believes his players can create history in this series.
Said his team know they are role models and will behave accordingly.
Outcue: Australia’s five-Test series on the Qantas Tour of the UK gets underway at Edgbaston in Birmingham on 1 August with the remaining matches at Lord’s, Headingley, Old Trafford and The Oval. Australia holds the Ashes after a 4-0 series win at home in the summer of 2017-18.
