Australia captain Tim Paine spoke to the media after play on the third day of the fifth and final Ashes Test at The Oval on Saturday.

England is 8/313 in its second innings, an overall lead of 382 with two days to play.

Australia retained the Ashes at Old Trafford last Sunday, winning the Fourth Test by 185 runs late on the final day.

The victory gave Australia an unassailable 2-1 lead in the Five Test series. As holders of the Ashes Australia keeps the urn regardless of the result of the Fifth Test.

It is the first time Australia has retained the Ashes in England since current team mentor Steve Waugh was captain in 2001.

Australia claimed the first Test at Edgbaston by 251 runs, the second Test at Lord’s ended in a draw and England won the third Test at Headingley by one wicket.
