Tim Southee keeps New Zealand in the 2nd Test against Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bowl against hosts, New Zealand, at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch today on the first day of the 2nd Test match.

It was Tim Southee day today, at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch. Firstly he rescued the Kiwi innings with the bat (when at 64-6,New Zealand were in deep trouble) with an extraordinary batting display in difficult conditions, and then he took 3-29, with the ball, to keep them in the match against Sri Lanka.
Earlier, Suranga Lakmal 5-54 and Lahiru Kumara 3-49 had bowled Sri Lanka into a good position, bowling New Zealand out for 178 on a day for seamers.
