T20 cricket is certainly a treat to watch when young players light up the stadium with their power hitting prowess.

Some grow their way in T20 cricket with orthodox shot selection and some simply create shots out of the books and reap rewards.

In this piece, we will talk about some of the most talented emerging players in T20 cricket who can take the game away from the opposition in a flash.

1. Tim David

Tim David needs no introduction to the cricket fraternity after having impressed in various T20 leagues around the world including PSL, IPL, England's T20 Blast and BBL.

He records an impressive average of 46.50 in T20I cricket when he plays for his national team Singapore. He now also qualifies to play for Australia in the T20I cricket.

His heroics in the PSL 2022 took the cricket World by storm. David smashed 278 runs in 11 games at an astonishing strike rate of 194. Post his performance in the PSL, he was recruited by Mumbai Indians at a lucrative pay check of 1.5 million USD. He didn't disappoint the franchise and played some phenomenal knocks including the 18 ball 46 against SRH.

He is constantly knocking on the doors of Australian selection committee. According to the Australian skipper Aaron Finch, "He's been in fantastic form for a while now, the back end of the IPL was fantastic for him, it was at his brutal best. The ability to hit from ball one is a pretty rare skill and he's done that plenty of times now".

It won't be a surprise if he features for Australia when they go out to defend their title in the ICC T20I World Cup to be played in October this year.

2. Rajat Patidar

The Madhya Pradesh middle order batter has been a very consistent performer in the domestic circuit.

Based on his potential, he was added to the RCB squad as a replacement for a price of 20 Lakh INR.

It proved to be a jackpot of a deal for his Franchise as Rajat Patidar amassed 333 runs in 8 matches with an average of 55.50. His best score in the tournament was 112 not out.

His power hitting ability not only impressed cricket lovers but also the former Indian skipper Virat Kohli who was seen hurling praises for the young sensation.

Patidar followed up his IPL heroics with a hundred in the Ranji Trophy final against Maharashtra. He played a pivotal role in Madhya Pradesh's win against Maharashtra in the Finals.

If he carries on such form, it won't be long before we see him donning the blue jersey.

3.Harry Brook

Yet another raw talent from England, Harry Brook has been impressing one and all since his U-19 days. While captaining England in the U-19 World Cup 2018, he smashed 239 runs in the tournament at an average of 119.50.

He produced some brilliant performances in the County Championship and is seen as a potential candidate for Test call up. However, he has certainly made a mark in the white ball cricket.

Brook featured in the PSL 2022 and he amassed 264 runs playing for Lahore Qalandars at an average of 52.8 and an impressive strike rate of 171.4.

He has also impressed the England's new skipper Ben Stokes. According to him, "He just takes the game on from ball one. He is not scared of any situation, he is not frightened of any bowler and he just sticks to what works
for him. That is exactly what we try and create in the England team so I don't think it will be too long before we see him wearing the Three Lions,”

Playing for Yorkshire in the England's T20 Blast, Harry Brook smashed 67 off 31 balls in a recent match against Northamptonshire. He came in when his team were in all sorts of bother at 11 for 3. He single handedly took the game away from the opposition and was awarded man of the match for his breath taking performance.

4. Joe Clarke

Joe Clarke is a phenomenal top order batsman who has scored plenty of runs in T20 cricket over the last 2 years.

His career came to a halt in 2019 when he was unfortunately involved in a Sexist WhatsApp Group that demeaned women and trivialised rape. He was subsequently dropped from England Lions squad in 2019. The incident caused immense embarrassment to England cricket and Clarke himself. He has apologized for his remarks and the new Director of England Men's Cricket Rob Key has instilled faith in the young sensation. According to him, "You can’t penalise people forever in life.”

Clarke has produced some ground breaking performances playing for Melbourne Stars in BBL and Nottinghamshire in the England's T20 Blast. In the BBL, he has scored 463 runs so far with an impressive strike rate of 153.82. His knock of 136 runs in 65 balls against Northamptonshire in T20 Blast 2021 is still remembered as one of the greatest T20 innings ever seen.

Given his pure talent and stroke play, he is expected to be given an England national team call up in white ball cricket any time soon.

5. Adam Hose

Adam Hose is a middle order English batsman who plays for Birmingham Bears in domestic cricket.

Hose's exploits in the ongoing England's T20 Blast have turned many heads towards his pure skill and talent.

Playing for Bears, Hose was recently involved in a record third wicket stand of 174 runs with Sam Hain as his team went on to make 261 runs in 20 overs against Nottinghamshire. Hose didn't just stop there; he followed it up with a 63 not out in 44 balls against Northamptonshire to help his team chase down a big target of 212.

He was at his destructive best against Worcestershire on Friday last week when he smashed 110 not out off 53 balls to power his team to a huge total of 228 in 20 overs.

Hose's consistency in T20 cricket is certainly attracting the attention of England Men's team selectors and it won't be long before we see him featuring in the English jersey.
