Brad Hodge struck a brilliant unbeaten half-century to steer Rajasthan Royals to a come-from-behind four-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League 2013 Eliminator in Delhi. Chasing 133 to win, Rajasthan were reduced to 57 for five but Hodge hit five sixes in an innings of 54 not out in just 29 balls - including two sixes from the first two balls of the final over - to knock the Sunrisers out of the tournament.

Brad Hodge scored an unbeaten 46 as the Royals made 144 for six but they then produced a fine bowling effort to dismiss the reigning champions for 125 in reply.

This is proving to be a very difficult Indian Premier League season to predict. Both myself and my colleague Alastair Symondson have struggled during our Mr Predictor TV shows, and one comment left for us on YouTube advised us, quite fairly, to forget about thinking about giving up the day job. Yesterday’s games were no exceptions. The Rajasthan Royals and the Royal Challengers Bangalore snatched victories from positions where they appeared down and out. While I have to admit I never completely ruled the Royals out given the pedigree of Brad Hodge, right up until Saurabh Tiwary hit the winning six for the Challengers, I had that one down as a Pune win.
