The summertime finally returned to that most famous of Leeds suburbs and provided the backdrop for a good week of cricket at Headingley Cricket Club.

The weather continued to cause problems for Headingley Cricket Club this week although they did manage to get a rearranged cup game played on Tuesday against near neighbours Old Leos.

Headingley returned to action following the bad weather with their first, second and third teams all completing victories this weekend.

Headingley CC did well to get four completed games this weekend after heavy overnight rain in Yorkshire.

Two losses and a win certainly wasn’t the perfect start we were looking for as we set out on Saturday morning raring for the season, but positives can be taken from every match.

Pre-season has been very promising for the lads representing the famous Headingley club with pre-season nets having begun in October.
