Youngsters with disabilities from across the country are set to take part in the finals of the Macquarie National Table Cricket Competition on Friday 17 June at Lord's Cricket Ground, all vying for the chance to be crowned 2011 champions.

Disadvantaged young people from London who have limited or no access to sport are set to receive cricket and rugby kit that will be donated at the next LV= SOS Kit Aid Day at Lordâ€™s Cricket Ground on Sunday 19 June. The day represents the next step in LV= SOS Kit Aidâ€™s ambitious pledge to recycle an incredible 20,000kgs of sporting equipment by the end of the year.

Young people from Bristol celebrated the first regional day of the recently launched national LV= SOS Kit Aid scheme yesterday (Wednesday 11 May). The pioneering scheme, which is led by youth sports charity, The Lordâ€™s Taverners, saw schools, clubs and members of the public donate their unwanted cricket and rugby kit for re-distribution to disadvantaged children, improving access to a wider range of sports.

The Lord's Taverners and Macquarie Group are pleased to announce a joint partnership which will offer sporting opportunities to young people in the UK. Macquarie is the first corporate partner to be involved with all Lord's Taverners activities, from fundraising events, cricket matches and golf days to grassroots youth cricket and disability sport.
