Australia's eventful tour of India - on and off the field - took another turn for the worse with the news that fast bowler Mitchell Starc is to return home to undergo ankle surgery. Starc hit a career-best 99 and took two wickets in the third Test in Mohali before Australia succumbed to a six-wicket defeat late on the final day.

Australia needed a little more than two hours to hand the West Indies a crushing nine-wicket defeat in the first One-Day International in Perth. Mitchell Starc took five for 20 as the tourists were bowled out for a dismal 70 and with Glenn Maxwell showing his full range of strokes at the top of the order, Australia raced to victory in just 9.2 overs.

Australia just about managed to overhaul Pakistan's modest total of 198 in the opening ODI between the two sides in Sharjah. They struggled throughout their innings against the nominal home side's spinners and had stuttered to 87 for four at the halfway stage in their run chase. However, Michael, Clarke, George Bailey and Glenn Maxwell starred with the willow and they got home with four wickets and 10 balls to spare.
