A couple of weekends without cricket for me personally, after stocktake at work and then a free weekend due to our opponents having dropped out of the league.
18 July 2019
A mixed weekend of results, a mixed weekend of personal fortunes, but a very important and successful weekend for the club on and off the pitch.
25 June 2019
After a week of near constant rain, during which it looked that travelling to the ground by boat rather than car might be a good option, the prospect of any play on Saturday at all seemed unlikely.
19 June 2019
I’d missed playing on the weekend of the 25th & 26th May – the Saturday saw me playing football in a customer event from work at Molineux, which was something not to be missed for a lifelong Wolves fan.
5 June 2019
On a weekend where no fewer than 108 different players represented the club across junior, senior and ladies’ teams there were some very notable performances and no little success.
24 May 2019
Finally, back to something resembling cricketing weather and plenty of fixtures over the weekend!
14 May 2019
Weekend number three of the season for the first and second teams, whereas the third and fourth teams were ready for their second scheduled weekend of cricket.
9 May 2019
After the wonderful weather of last weekend, it was perhaps predictable that the second weekend of the season would have conditions that were slightly less suited than the week before – especially given that it was my first game of the season!
3 May 2019
After a long winter, and last week’s pre-season friendlies, the first and second teams got their respective league seasons underway in brilliant sunshine on Saturday.
23 April 2019
We finally had a chance to sit down with Kev Baker, as he Tells his Club Cricket Story, getting use to a stoma/colostomy bag, disability cricket and more...
20 March 2019
The last weekend of the season has come around all too quickly, and after the previous weekend’s near washout the weather had a definite autumnal feel as the final games of the season were played on Saturday.
18 September 2018
The return of some pleasant weather saw a full weekend of fixtures as the season entered its last month.
4 September 2018
A very busy weekend of cricket and fundraising, and one in which the first team put themselves well in contention for promotion.
3 September 2018
Penkridge first team travelled to Pershore on Saturday and were beaten by three wickets in an entertaining, if low scoring game.
22 August 2018
Given that the ground was underwater on Friday after a huge cloudburst, the fact that any cricket was played on Saturday was remarkable. Credit and thanks must go to Nick Giles for his efforts in getting the wicket and outfield fit for play!
16 August 2018
After the blip in the weather last weekend, the heatwave returned as plenty of cricket was played.
10 August 2018
After three months of near drought and almost no rainfall at all, it was almost inevitable that when the weather did finally change it would be at the weekend – and so it proved!
30 July 2018
Yet another weekend of fantastic weather, and some good cricket to match the conditions.
25 July 2018
Tuesday night saw the first defeat of the season for the under 19s as they travelled to Milford for their latest group game in the Vitality u19 Club T20 competition. Milford made 124-6 with Ben Marson (2-26) and Callum Morrell (3-10) our chief wicket takers before we were dismissed for 92, Sam Horobin (20) and Jack Pope (32) top scoring for us.
17 July 2018
First things first, and on Friday night after our Clubmark assessment at junior training our accreditation was renewed successfully. Huge credit – and thanks - go to all our coaches and helpers for their efforts, in particular Welfare Office Leisa Wyllie for making sure everything was in order to pass the relevant checks.
