Torrance Community Cricket Club, was established in 2010.  When the BBC Radio Scotland presenter Fred Macauly, gave the task to set up a village cricket team from scratch in Richards home village, on the outskirts of Glasgow - that well known cricket Hub! (though you would be surprised how many teams there are).  Richard gladly accepted the challenge.

After months of drumming up the required numbers ( and some practice at a local primary school tennis court!), Torrance Community Cricket Club was born and played their first match against Gargunnock Cricket Club.

Unfortunately Torrance lost that game, but did not deter them!  In 2011, Torrance entered the Cricketer Magazines' National Village cup, making it through to the 2nd round!

Torrance have improved, season by season, with their bets result coming against Doune Cricket Club, with Torrance 160 for no wicket ( De Brincat (club captain) and Whay) making an unbeaten partnership! Doune could only manage 106 all out!
