England fans promised stunning Caribbean experience with T20 series beginning in Barbados
England’s much-anticipated T20 series, against the West Indies, in Barbados is fast approaching with the first game scheduled for Saturday 22nd January.
To optimise the experience for supporters the Barmy Army have pulled out all the stops to give fans an unforgettable time at their Copacabana Beach Bar & Grill HQ, situated in Carlisle Bay, Bridgetown, Barbados.
Barbados is, without doubt, a fan-favourite cricket destination. Between the country’s stunning swathe of beaches and friendly locals, fans are sure to be kept in good spirits. And, talking of good spirits, the rum’s not bad either!
The January backdrop for this T20 series makes Barbados the perfect place to escape the gloomy skies of the UK to a land of sun, sea, and stylish cricket – with just a little less chance of play being rained off!
When fans aren’t basking in the joint glow of the Caribbean sun and England cricket at its absolute best, they’ll be able to enjoy a range of experiences organised by the Barmy Army and set against a backdrop of Barbados’ thrilling nightlife.
The HQ will provide live entertainment, exclusive drinks discounts, an array of food options and a hub to enjoy their Caribbean experience with like-minded travelling fans.
In fact, the Barmy Army is ready to kick things off as soon as fans arrive, with its pre series welcome party, taking place on Friday 21st, marking a week-long opening of the venue.
The Barmy Army will also keep fans fed and watered with a pre-match party on the afternoon of the first game before heading to the Kensington Oval for the start of what should be a great series of T20 cricket.
Adam Canning, Commercial Director, said: “Fans have been waiting long enough to sink their teeth into the atmosphere of proper T20 cricket at its finest – and what better place to get back into the swing of things than Barbados?
We’re hoping this tour is the start of a return to some normality for our members and England’s travelling fans with the Test series to look forward to just around the corner as well. We love touring the West Indies and can’t wait to enjoy all the island has to offer once more.’”
Established in 1994, the Barmy Army is committed to optimising the experience of cricket for all - providing England fans with travel packages, access to tickets, HQ’s to socialise with like-minded fans and much more. Supported by Tourism Barbados, the upcoming tour is the latest in a long history of first-class fan experiences.
