Twitter sympathizes with RCB as they bow out of the IPL

 

RCB were beaten by RR by a 30-run margin as the Virat Kohli led side was ruled out of IPL 2018.

It could not have been a worse result for RCB as they stepped in to the encounter against RR with hopes of making a meal out of the home team. Bangalore were expecting a big win to ameliorate their NRR and go ahead of MI.

On the other hand, RR were at 12 points before the match, with a Net Run Rate unworthy of a mention. Even after their win, they have only given themselves an outside chance as they have now jumped to 14 points.

Chasing a 165-run target, RCB could have gone about their business in a much more professional manner. With two of the world’s greatest white ball batsmen in AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli at the helm, all they needed to do was knock the ball around and take the match deeper.

Instead, they fell for the low-lying bait of finishing the match within 16 overs – with Virat Kohli trying to go hard from the outset – so as to improve their NRR. As it turned out, they could achieve neither of the two.

A lone hand from AB de Villiers (53) was not enough as the team met a 30-run loss. After the Virat Kohli led side bowed out of the IPL, this is what tweeple had to say:
