Tymal Mills switches to Hobart Hurricanes ahead of BBL 2017-18 season
England pace bowler Tymal Mills has signed a two year deal with Hobart Hurricanes ahead of the upcoming season of Big Bash League.
Mills, who is known for his prowess in the shortest format of the game makes a switch from Brisbane Heat after making just two appearances for them in the previous season in which he picked a wicket and maintained an economy of 6.25.
The 25-year-old has the ability to clock 150 kmph and also fox the batsmen with his variations and was signed for a whopping INR 12 crore by the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise in the previous season of Indian Premier League.
Mills said he is pleased with his move to Hurricanes and is hoping for a successful stint.
"The Big Bash is a great tournament; I've been watching it at home for the last few years now and I know it's a competition which British cricketers and fans really enjoy watching," he gushed.
"I was really pleased when my agent gave me the call and said the Hurricanes were interested in me coming over. I want to make it a long-lasting relationship, so I'm really pleased to sign on for a couple of seasons."
Hobart Hurricanes will open their Big Bash League campaign with a clash against Melbourne Renegades at Bellerive Oval on 21st December.
