At the ICC Academy Oval 2 ground, Dubai Pulse Secure opted to field and bowled tight spells to restrain Ajman Alubond. Ameer Hamza's 42 not out off 14 balls with six sixes was the top scorer for Ajman as he helped his side 104-4 in their 10 overs.
For Dubai Pulse Secure 20-year-old Fahad Nawaz starred with the ball with figures of 1-7 from his solitary over of slow left-arm orthodox spin.
In their response, Dubai was well served by Nawaz as he struck an unbeaten 50 off just 22 balls with seven boundaries and two sixes. Nawaz shared a 59 run second wicket stand with Faisal Amin (23) as Dubai raced to the target with two overs and six wickets to spare as they finished at 107-4. Nawaz has appeared in two ODIs thus far for UAE against Nepal at the same venue in 2019, so understood the conditions very well.
For Ajman the most successful bowler was Shareef Asadullah with figures of 2-20, but that was not enough to stop Dubai from racing away to an easy win.
