Unique Cricket World Rigby Taylor 100 Club Award Presented to Kineton CC

The presentation, one of the five Cricket World Rigby Taylor 100 Club Awards, was made today at Kineton CC, in Warwickshire.

George Hendy was selected as one of the five winners to be recognised for their ‘100’ in 2019.

George is only 16 and scored 127* in the final game of the season. The team needed to reach 200 to collect maximum batting points and he controlled and managed the batting to ensure the 200 target was achieved – commented Haydn Dunant Kineton CC – Chairman in his nomination.

Alastair Symondson, pictured above with George Hendy (KinetonCC) commented: “ We are delighted to be running these Awards with our sponsors’ Rigby Taylor, the UK's leading supplier of products for the construction, maintenance and improvement of sports, amenity and landscape areas.

When we launched the Awards, earlier in the year, we wanted to recognize special achievements with the bat but also to recognise, in some small way, the hardwork that groundcare individuals that prepare the surfaces that they play on, have achieved as well.

Five players were selected to win a brand new GM Cricket Bat and a £350 Grass Seed/Fertlizer (Cricket Ground Renovation) Vouchers for their club – watch out for the other Award winning presentations being made around the country.
