VB Kanchi Veerans register third biggest win of TNPL history over Karaikudi Kaalai
The four-wicket haul from Rajgopal Satish was the game-changer as he used cutters to perfection and did not give any pace to the Karaikudi Kaalai batsmen to launch.

Kanchi Veerans did not get off to an ideal start as they lost U Mukilesh on the fourth ball of the match for naught. Vishal Vaidhya and Sanjay Yadav then had a big partnership.
But, it was actually the stand between Sanjay Yadav (95) and skipper Baba Aparajith which saw the team set the base for Rajgopal Satish to launch. Satish smoked five fours from 14 deliveries to race to 31, at a strike rate of over 220, taking the team to a 177-run total.
No Karaikudi Kaalai bowler could really stand out with Sunil Sam taking two wickets and Velidi Lakshman and Mohan Prasath picking up one each. But all of them proved to be very expensive.
In reply, Karaikudi Kaalai had a heartbreak when skipper Srikkanth Anirudha, who has been the main man for them in this tournament, got dismissed on his very second ball, chopping on to the wickets.
After that, no other batsman could really spend time at the wicket as the pressure of the required run rate kept increasing.

Gowtham Kannan picked up two wickets for Kanchi Veerans but it was actually the four-wicket haul from Rajgopal Satish which was the game-changer.
Satish used cutters to perfection and did not give any pace to the Karaikudi Kaalai batsmen to launch. The Veerans won by 110 runs, with more than five overs remaining in what was the third biggest margin of victory (by runs) in TNPL history.
