Victoria beat New South Wales by 66 runs in JLT One Day Cup
New South Wales won the toss and decided to bowl at the North Sydney Oval, Sydney earlier today against Victoria in their JLT Cup encounter.
Victoria 327 (Cameron White 123, Peter Handscomb 89; Sean Abbott 5-70)
New South Wales 261 (Moises Henriques 77, Daniel Sams 56; Jackson Coleman 5-39)
Result - Victoria win by 66 runs
Victoria scored an impressive 327 all out in their allotted 50 overs, having at one stage being 0-1 and 55-2. However, a third wicket partnership of 190 between Cameron White 123 and Peter Handscomb 89 pushed Victoria to 245-3 and then the lower order scrambled another 82 runs in the last 8 overs to reach 327. Sean Abbott 5-70 was the pick of the New South Wales bowlers.
In reply, New South Wales only managed to score 261 and were always under the run rate and losing wickets regularly, which put increased pressure on the incoming batsmen. Although, there were some bright partnerships between Kurtis Patterson 48 and Moises Henriques 77 and Daniel Sams hit 56. Jackson Coleman 5-39 was the pick of the Victoria bowlers, although Tom O'Connell also picked 3-56.
