Calvin Dickson and James Vince scored blistering fifties as Hampshire chased down 168 runs against Kent in the 18th over with six wickets in hand in Canterbury to reach the top of the table in South Group of Natwest T20 Blast.

Beginning the chase with a required run rate close to 8.50, both Vince (57) and Dickinson (51) looked positive from the outset to take them to 67 for naught in the powerplay.

Mitchell Claydon (2-33) provided some respite for Kent with the wicket of Dickinson, who reached a 23 ball fifty before the dismissal and at halfway mark, Hampshire were positioned 99 for one.

Even though, Kent slowed down the things a bit Tom Alsop (32) and Shahid Afridi (1), Vince stepped up the ante, bringing his half-century with a four followed by a six.

Vince eventually fell when the target was down to seven runs but Hampshire ensured they completed the chase in 17.2 overs with six wickets in hand.

Earlier, Sam Northeast (59) and Sam Billings (40) were clinical in helping Kent post 167 for seven. Kyle Abbott (2-25) and Liam Dawson (2-25) were pick of the Hampshire bowlers.
