Div1 #KenvGlou Day 4: van Buuren (51*) & Shaw (33) continued thir partnership and quickly set about the small target required for victory. Just three remaining Gloucester wickets kept the possibility of a Kent victory alive, but despite a fourth wicket for Podmore (4/83), Jerome Taylor arrived to hit a swift 19* to guide Gloucester to a fine victory.

Div1 #NorvEss Day 4: Starting the final day needing over 360 with nine wickets left was a big ask for Essex. Northants confidence was high and the bowlers hit their mark early. Westley (39) and A Cook (39) battled well and built a solid base, but both batters went quickly and wickets fell regularly from there on in. B Glover (3/26) bowled beautifully to set up the win and T Sole cleaned up at the end with 2/8 in four balls.

Div1 SomvHam Day 4: Another batting day and the pitch looked to have flattened out beautifully giving Hampshire half a chance of chansin down the required 270 odd to complete a magnificent victory. A half century from Organ and then a well made 41 from Alsop both played supporting roles to Dawson as he made a fantastic 82 before Bess (2/83) bowled him with one that came back through the gate.

When Fuller (93*) and Abbott (38) came together 50 were still required wth only 2 wickets to go and 8 overs remaining in the match. The pair batted brilliantly to get the equation down to just 20 required from 2 overs when Philander rescued Somerset with the final two wickets in an over to complete the Somerset victory.

Warwickshire v Lancashire

Match Summary

Warwickshire 315ao (Hain 123, Mahmood 3/63) & 332ao (Hain 148, Bailey 5/79)

Points – Warwickshire (22), Lancashire (5)

Div1 #WarvLan Day 4: It was always going to be a tough ask for Lancashire to hold out for a draw here today, and so it turned out, with the visitors only adding a further 122 to their overnight score to be dismissed for 172 by tea. Chris Woakes with 11 wickets in the match looks in fine form for the internationals later this summer.

Yorkshire v Surrey

Match Summary

Yorkshire 314/6 dec (Malan 64, Plunkett 2/53) & 248ao (Root 59, Morkel 4/77)

Surrey 319/8 dec (S Curran 103*, Bresnan 3/89) & 172ao (Morkel 28, Coad 5/62)

Result – Yorkshire won by 71 runs

Points – Yorkshire (21), Surrey (5)

Div1 #YorvSurr Day 4: The Yorkshire opening bowlers shone today in a brilliant bolwing partnership which saw Yorkshire bowled out for just 172 with Ben Coad leading the way with 5/62 and Tim Bresnan following closely behind with 3/60.

No Yorkshire batter was allowed to get going and the relentlessness of the still new ball which swung more today than at any other time in the match meant Surrey didn't look like getting close enough.
