Result - Netherlands won by 37 runs

Batting first, Netherlands made a statement with some quick runs to begin with. Tobias Visee, in particular, looked good. Once Max ODowd was dismissed, Roelof van der Merwe came to the crease and the two raced along to help Netherlands build a great platform for the following batsmen.

Wicketkeeper Scott Edwards obliged with a 21-ball 42 at a strike rate of 200, including 4 fours and 2 sixes which took Netherlands to 185; a total too stiff for the Hong Kong batting line-up.

Hong Kong's top four Nizakat Khan, Kinchit Shah, Waqas Barkat and Raag Kapur did not fire. Although a 41-ball 68 came from Haroon Arshad, there was not much support from other batsmen.

Brandon Glover was the star bowler for Netherlands and bagged a 4-wicket haul. He was ably assisted by all-rounder Pieter Seelaar who picked up two wickets.

Hong Kong could only manage 148 in their 20 overs and lost the game by 37 runs.
