Walking, Team Photos and Winter Olympics
This week's Around The Grounds round-up focuses on South Africa v Australia, the decision to walk as a batsmen, team photos, club events and fixtures.
Dale Steyn had a huge impact on the game avoiding the weather having any effect on the match. Although, unfortunately again issues on the pitch had a starring role and the question arose; Should a batsmens walk if it's obvious he's out. A well fought test inspired fans though, with plenty of praise for the format on Twitter as well.
We have introduced a new segment this week title 'Cricketers Out and About' which is basically people tweeting in their encounters with cricketers, or the cricketers themselves enjoying some time away from the game.
Another new segment is the 'Team Photos'. There are always plenty of team photos whether it's a generic photo for the season, celebrating a trophy or just a memorable occasion.
Plenty of events, majority being club quizzes, presentation evenings and curry/comedy nights. There are also some charity events with people raising money for good causes.
We also have a small section on the Winter Olympics which cricket fans were glad to see the back of and move onto summer. And of course, it finishes up with Club fixtures, results and MOTM recapping the week for club cricket.
