Warne And McGrath Look Set For Indian Cricket League
Retired record-breaking Australian bowlers Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath look likely to join the Indian Cricket League, according to former Indian captain Kapil Dev. Kapil said, "They've almost signed. It is just a matter of legal papers. Other terms and conditions are agreed. "Around 20-30 people are sitting and signing and going through the papers with their lawyers. It is only a matter of time before we make announcements." Kapil Dev is now a board member of the Indian Cricket League (ICL.) Former West Indian captain Brian Lara was revealed as having signed up earlier this week, with speculation growing that Stephen Fleming, Inzamam-ul-Haq will be amongst other high profile players who will be approached. Essel Group, which controls Zee Telefilms, unveiled the tournament in May. The BCCI still refuses to recognise the tournament.
