WBBL First Nations Round to be launched on Kaurna land
Players from the Weber WBBL will gather on Kaurna land (Adelaide) tomorrow to launch the inaugural League-wide First Nations Round.
Players will be joined by Kaurna elders at Pinky Flat, River Torrens for conversations and education activities to enhance connection to country, before being available to the media.
Among those present will be the League’s five Aboriginal players: Ashleigh Gardner, Hannah Darlington, Anika Learoyd, Mikayla Hinkley, Ella Hayward. In all, players from the six clubs currently in Adelaide will be in attendance.
The WBBL First Nations Round will be held from November 19 to 21. Further details will be confirmed tomorrow
